Brisbane isn’t generally considered an internationally renowned wine destination, but did you know you can partake in a wine tour from Brisbane?
Take a day and explore wines of the region, many by boutique vineyards that grow grapes in the nearby Southern Queensland border region, which is well-known for its fruit harvest and many vineyards.

A day tour from Brisbane may take you to the Sirromet winery at Mount Cotton in the eastern suburbs. Here you will enjoy some delicious Granite Belt wines, and marvel at the beautiful grounds which include the Michelin starred restaurant Lurleens.

There are also some beautiful vineyards to the south at Tamborine Mountain – here you will discover cellar doors and privately owned growers that produce a range of white and red wines that will delight any palette.

There are numerous wineries at Tamborine where you can also enjoy a delicious lunch and partake in tastings of a variety of different hand-crafted foods, including chocolate, fudge, cheese and ice creams.

Tamborine is a popular tourist destination, but having a locals view on an organized tour will lead you to lesser-known places and will include some delightful scenic lookouts which may be otherwise overlooked.

Many people enjoy an organized wine tour from Brisbane because they are able to enjoy the tastings without worrying about driving – and a private guide takes the hassle out of the day.

If there are particular spots you want to visit – consider requesting these with your guide who will be happy to oblidge wherever possible.
