To make the most of your Gold Coast tour package, why not indulge in a few of these great places:

Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets
For travelers who love to collect memorabilia, and even for those who just love to spend time shopping, the Beachfront Markets of Surfers Paradise is an excellent shopping destination in Gold Coast. Open to the public every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday night, this commercial strip of around 100 different stalls is complemented by live entertainment, which serves as a mood setter for shoppers and strollers alike. Premium products are offered, including woodcraft, artworks, beauty and cosmetic products, fashion, homewares, food, jewelry, and photographs. It’s the perfect stop to find that unique souvenir or gift for someone special – and don’t forget to taste some of the delicious food on offer.

Hinze Dam
Originally constructed in 1976, Hinze Dam was closed to the public in 1989 to make way for renovation and construction of upgrades such as raising the dam wall, as well as new and modern facilities. It was reopened to the public in 2011 and now offers attractions such as lakeside parks, a state-of -the-art Interpretive Center, and trails for horse riding, biking, and walking. Barbecue areas, car parking, and toilet facilities are also available for public use. Two boat ramps, respectively the West Boat Ramp and the East Boat Ramp, are also open for use. A walk along the dam wall offers some great views, as well as the chance to see the spillway where excess water is released.

Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves
Located at Cedar Creek Estate, the Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves is a man-made cave consisting of two chambers interlinked to each other by a series of tunnels. You’ll wander through the tree-stump entrance, before you enter the magic inside the caves. The caves awe visitors with magnificent presentation shows, which includes a display of thousands of live glow worms. There is also a presentation of highly realistic formations of stalactites, stalagmites, flow stone, and water features.

Surfers Paradise
Just 30 minutes off the Gold Coast Airport, Surfers Paradise is one of the points of attraction in Gold Coast that never fails to draw hordes of visitors. Its golden beaches and urban skyline project an ambiance that will whet a traveler’s appetite. World class foods are available in the form of various cafes and restaurants, as well as a tantamount of fashion and nightlife hubs, business facilities, and shopping destinations –  all made unique by the fact that the location is both accessible and near the sea. Take a stroll to the end of the mall and cross the road to the river and enjoy the beautiful views back to the hinterland where a day trip is a must.

Burleigh Hill

Towards the southern end of the Gold Coast, visit popular Burleigh Heads where you can walk in the national parkland to the top of the hill. The walk is fairly steep and takes around 45 minutes, with an easier option of the beach track offered for those less confident in their abilities. Either way, you’ll be rewarded with delightful views of the coastline, as well as being able to get a taste of the Gold Coast’s rainforests. If you’ve worked up a sweat, opt for a swim in Tallebudgera Creek or grab a delicious Acai bowl in James Street.
